JOB POSITION: CASTING ASSISTANT

Location: Antwerp – 3 months, full-time (with possibility of extension) - Start Date ASAP - Payroll position

Sien Josephine Casting is seeking a highly organised Casting Assistant to join our team for a temporary period of 3 months, supporting one or two specific projects as well as assisting with the broader day-to-day operations of our casting office.

This is an entry-level, full-time position ideal for a recently graduated individual who is eager to gain practical experience in the film and television industry, particularly in the organisational and logistical aspects of casting.

Responsibilities

As a Casting Assistant, you'll be supporting the organisational side of the casting process — keeping things running smoothly and efficiently.

Tasks include:

  • Keeping casting platforms and overviews up to date

  • Processing and uploading self-tapes

  • Tracking casting deadlines and scheduling live sessions

  • Preparing materials for directors and clients

  • Supporting ongoing project coordination (emails, planning, communication)

  • Helping with casting research when needed

Please note:
This is not a creative casting role, but a supporting and organisational position. You won’t be selecting actors or leading casting choices, but you’ll play a key role in keeping the process running smoothly; from planning and follow-up to structuring platforms and managing deadlines.

Requirements

  • You’ve recently graduated from film, media, communications, office management, or a similar background

  • You’re organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage several tasks at once

  • You communicate clearly and respectfully

  • You speak Dutch or English fluently

  • You’re legally based in Belgium and authorised to work here

  • You’re available to start immediately, and can commit to a full-time role for 3 months

  • Experience with casting platforms like Filmmakers, Spotlight or In The Picture is a plus, but not required

What we offer

  • A paid, payroll-based position with a starter-level salary, aligned with industry standards and commensurate with experience

  • A chance to work on exciting casting projects in film, television and commercials

  • A hands-on learning experience in a supportive and fast-paced environment

  • The opportunity to see how (international) casting really works, from inside a respected European casting office
